General Joe E. Ramirez Jr., Class of 1979, becomes the
commandant of the Corps of Cadets, becoming the first Hispanic
to hold the position. During his time at Texas A&M University,
Ramirez joined the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band in the Corps of
Cadets, where he commanded the B Company “Streetfighters”
his senior year.
